BUDDHA: Whatever happened to Cold Fusion?

Remember Pons and Fleischmann? An endless source of cheap energy from water?
And the scandals... jeez science was more fun in the Good Ol' Days huh?

What ever happened, I mean everyone seemed to admit that it probably wasn't
fusion, but didn't someone replicate Pons and Fleischmann's cells? Didn't Pons
reportedly have seven cells chugging away in his lab a year later? How come
the whole thing fell out of the news?

Wonder no more. Here is the Buddha Cold Fusion Update - your definitive source
of quality info on cold fusion.

 Cold Fusion Info
The King of CF sites, this links almost all the relevant info on the web.
Also has a bunch of excerpts from a book on CF by some guy called Mallove.

 Cold Fusion Newsgroup Search Engine
As always, the breaking news is always in the newsgroup, although in this
case it seems to be a mailing list. To be honest I couldn't make this
work... the site seemed to be down. YMMV.

Why stop at Cold Fusion for astounding new energy sources - New Energy News
has that and a whole bunch more. Gravity shields, inertia-canceling drives,
anti-gravity, Over-Unity Motors, Electric Propulsion, Hydrosonic Power
  Generation and much, much more...

 Skeptics on Cold Fusion
No summary would be complete without the dear old Skeptics. Not a terribly
exciting web site, but worth a look.

To close, a quote from a New Energy News correspondent:

"DOE is not funding research on cold fusion and is threatening to
cancel other kinds of contracts with groups who undertake cold fusion
work. There is also a stop order preventing the U.S. Patent Office
from issuing patents on cold fusion, though a single patent was issued
to Patterson before the shutdown. The patent offices in Japan, Europe,
and elsewhere are doing a landrush business. Many workers in the field
report positive results and fully expect large scale commercial
production in less than five years."

Who knows? Mr Fusion could be closer than you think!

Happy Research,
