BUDDHA: About this skin...

As I was putting on some stick deodorant this morning (yes, I *hate*
smelly sticks), I for some reason took notice of the warning: "Do not
apply to broken skin."

Now, this got me thinking, which is equal parts scary and amazing. Best I
can tell, my skin is not broken. But what happens if it *does* suddenly
stop working? I got it so long ago, I have no idea if it came with a
warranty, and if so, where the warranty is. If it does break, can I get
on-site repair, or do I have to send it to a shop? It's such a hassle to
do without it in the interim, and the idea of getting a loaner is mildly
disturbing.

Another thing, how can you tell if your skin is truly broken or just badly
sprained unless you get an x-ray? Are they treated the same? Do you put
the skin in a sling, a cast, or what? What if you dislocate your skin?
(Don't laugh, it's happened to my hair....) Is it a good idea to try and
relocate it yourself?

Yes, these are the questions that keep me awake at day when I should be
napping at work. If any of you can come up with answers to these
questions, it would be a good idea to seek professional counseling.
