Loosely coupled blog
I’ve just started trying to use more of the data I publish in other places on my blog using the Javascript sticker code that many sites now provide. It makes this page slower to load, so I’m sorry about that.
Right now, you should be able to see in the sidebar:
- my Technorati headshot and some links
- My Friends - a folder from Bloglines with the feeds of all my friends in it
- my del.icio.us tags which gives you some idea what I tend to bookmark
- events in Eventful that I’ve created

December 10th, 2005 at 3:48 pmSorry. It wasn’t anywhere in this template, stupidly enough. I’ve added it to the “Meta” section in the sidebar.
December 10th, 2005 at 6:16 pmHave been using suprglu for the same purpose (http://michaelhenderson.suprglu.com/) Server side so the load time is fine, although it doesn’t refresh all that often.
Have to wonder how (and why) the service exists though — hosted services can’t be cheap, yet it’s free and there are no ads to be seen.
Default styles are bland. Haven’t looked to see if you can supply your own.

December 11th, 2005 at 11:15 pmThanks for the tip, Suprglu does look cool.
Some of these systems seem to be run covertly from larger concerns, or at least that seems to be the story with Robot Co-ops 43things.com and Amazon http://www.salon.com/tech/feature/2005/02/08/43/index_np.html
… who knows?
