He’s Just Had Coffee

Not so busy a weekend. Phoenix has started charging a $1 cover (apparently to please management or something) - the upside is that we all got “Lesbian” stamps on the way in. Saw a nice piece of installation art in the old underground loo in Taylor Square (next to The Oxford). Can’t recall the name, but it’s open most afternoons and Monday evenings. Had a very strained conversation with my friend Andrew who works in downtown Manhattan. He and his wife are very, very on-edge - as you would be with bomb threats every day and F-16s flying overhead. They sounded awfully shaken.
